Repeat of a conversation...

On Monday, after the greatest football team in the world did it AGAIN, my darling daughter wore her Steelers jersey to school in celebration. At PE, the following conversation took place"
Coach (a man, of course): Are you wearing that because the Steelers won last night?
Cee: No, I'm wearing it because the Steelers won for the SIXth time, last night.
Coach: Bet you don't even know who the quarterback is.
Cee(turns around and points at her back): Big Ben (I don't know if that's what everyone calls him, but that is our nickname) and I know who Palamalu is too.
Coach: Who's the Steelers' play last night?
Cee: Some bird team, but does it matter?

I can just envision the body language going on here. Cee is almost 5 feet tall but weighs less than 80 pounds, the coach is about 6 feet tall.
I would like to say that he is really a nice guy but this ain't the heart of Steelers country here. Its all Oklahoma and Texas college football. There was literally no football decorations available. I would say that most people were rooting for that bird team anyways.

What do you expect down here in the middle of steer country?

Socks, Max and Teesha...and an update on Cee

To follow up on comments... Socks is fully male (for another week) and my eyes are not itching (surprisingly) so maybe the allergy shots are working. Max and Socks have a daily battle for my lap as I read the paper every morning but pretty much ignore each other the rest of the day. Teesha could care less about a cat in the house except it affects her eating schedule. Now the dogs only have food down for about 20 minutes in the evening. We do this so that Socks does not eat the dog food because we think this has been making him sick. If you have never seen the results of a cat with the runs, you don't want to!
Enough talk about sick cats... To follow up on my sick child, it was definitely strep. After a second trip to the ER because of a temp of 105.5, the doc ordered a shot in the bum and some really great (I mean it) mouthwash for her throat. She went back to school on Friday, and yesterday, she actually felt back to her old self. Still have about a week of antibiotics to go through but we are back on track!
